Permali Gloucester, part of the Diamorph Group design & manufacture advanced composite & polymer materials for demanding protection applications in sectors including Defence, Aerospace, Motorsport, Transportation and Healthcare.

As the BoM (Bill of Materials) Coordinator you will become a specialist within our organisation at a time of rapid growth, engaging on exciting projects from customer enquiry through to ongoing production support, using IFS software. You will become an expert in our materials and processes and hold significant responsibility to ensure our products follow an efficient and cost-effective manufacturing route through our Gloucester facility.

Building strong relationships with our fantastic team will be essential to success in the role – you will work closely with all areas of the business including Design & Development, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Purchasing & Finance to ensure accuracy of information, combating of variance and offering guidance to the business wherever required.

An exciting opportunity to join us mid-way through a phase of rapid growth we are looking for an Innovator who will own and improve our BoM processes to suit the business we are creating together.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain and manage Bills of Materials (BoMs) for a variety of interesting products.
  • Ensure all BoMs are accurate, up-to-date and reflect the latest product designs, specifications and manufacture approaches.
  • Input and manage data related to materials, components and assemblies in the company’s MRP system (IFS).
  • Take ownership of our BoM procedures, constantly improving the way we work.
  • Work closely with colleagues from all departments to gather the necessary information and ensure BoM accuracy.
  • Implement and track changes to BoMs as products & processes evolve, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of updates.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all BoMs, including revisions and historical data.
  • Conduct regular audits of BoMs to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Generate and distribute reports related to BoM status, changes, and impacts on production.

Person Specification

  • HNC in a related discipline or experience in a relevant industry / position.
  • Attention to detail and pursuit of accuracy is essential – BoM’s drive our business.
  • A collaborative individual able to build strong relationships with our teams.
  • Able to self-manage workload in an exciting environment with changing priorities.
  • Take ownership of and improve our processes to suit our growing business.
  • Experience of production or MRP system’s desirable but not essential.
  • This role would suit a budding technical professional looking to establish themselves in a people focussed, complex & growing organisation.
