Manufacturing Operative Full-time, Permanent

The Role

As a Manufacturing Operative, your role is the timely manufacture or assembly of components to meet the requirements of the production schedule as directed by the Production Team Leader, following the relevant drawings and process documentation, and to ensure that the requirements of Health and Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery Schedule Adherence are met and maintained.

Required Skills

• Able to understand and follow all relevant Health and Safety requirements.

• Manufacture and/or assemble parts using defined drawings and process documentation.

• Verify dimensions using measuring equipment.

• Maintain a safe, clean working environment.

• Fill in documentation with relevant information.

• Complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner.

• Be quality focused and maintain high quality standards.

• Able to work as part of a team.

• Competent use of hand tools and measuring equipment.

• Monitor relevant machinery as required.

• Provide feedback to the Team Leader on issues and concerns arising, along with potential solutions.

• Able to read and write in English.

Background and experience:

• Hands on experience, firmly grounded in a production or manufacturing environment.

• Able to read and understand technical drawings.

• Good attention to detail.

• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

• A flexible and proactive ‘can do’ attitude.

• Able to use basic measuring equipment.

• Able to use various hand tools.

• Physically fit.

• Good timekeeping.

Responsibilities:

Ensure any activities you carry out are done with Health and Safety criteria at the forefront. Maintain and Meet production and quality criteria daily, whilst ensuring documentation is completed accurately. Skills & Abilities Good communication and numeracy skills and can be proactive and flexible.

This role is on shift pattern – 6.00 AM to 2.00 PM and 2.00 PM to 10.00 PM, with earlier finish on Friday. Shift allowance is 12.5% on double days.

Salary: £10.46-£11.36 per hour

Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
