Permali is proud to announce its participation in Big Yellow Friday, the national fundraising day dedicated to raising awareness of childhood liver disease and supporting vital services for affected children and their families. This year’s Big Yellow Friday took place on Friday, 7th March, and our team came together to make a meaningful impact.

Understanding the impact of childhood liver disease

Big Yellow Friday has become a symbol of hope for families facing the challenges of childhood liver disease. Every year, 400 children in the UK are diagnosed with a life-threatening liver condition. With no known cure and little understanding of the causes, these children require ongoing medical care, and many will ultimately need a transplant to survive.

Statement from the British Liver Trust

“We are delighted to see Permali joining us for Big Yellow Friday. Childhood liver disease suffers from a chronic lack of awareness, and for families, a diagnosis often brings immense challenges, from coping with complex treatments to the emotional and physical toll of the disease. Big Yellow Friday is about raising critical funds and awareness so that no family has to face this journey alone.”

Our fundraising activities

At Permali, our team fully embraced the Big Yellow Friday spirit by wearing yellow, baking yellow-themed cakes, and decorating our office in yellow. Through these fun and engaging activities, we were able to bring our colleagues together while raising an impressive £974 for the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation.

Neil Radford, Head of Finance at Permali

“We are incredibly proud of our team for coming together in support of such an important cause. Raising awareness and funds for childhood liver disease is something we are truly passionate about, and the success of this event shows the generosity and enthusiasm of our colleagues. We hope that by taking part, we’ve not only raised vital funds but also helped shine a light on a condition that affects so many families.”
