Prepreg, short for pre-impregnated, is a reinforcement fabric such as glass, aramid or carbon fibre that has already been impregnated with a resin system before it reaches the moulding stage. Because the resin content is precisely controlled and partly cured, prepreg produces consistent, high quality laminates with strong, repeatable mechanical properties.
